Forrest Homes is owned and operated by Joe and Kristen Forrest, a Husband and Wife team. The story of Forrest Homes spans 30 years of hard work, dedication, and the type of quality you can only get from a family business. In the 90’s, Joe opened JFD Contracting in the St. Louis/St. Charles area and built hundreds of residential homes as well as commercial projects. Being an expert in the field, Joe decided to use his knowledge and experience to begin his own home building company, JFD Custom Homes. In 2019, Joe, joined forces with his wife, Kristen and they rebranded the company as Forrest Homes to showcase the family name.

Joe began his career early as a carpenter, and through hard work and perseverance, founded JFD Contracting, the cornerstone of the Forrest Homes business you see today. Over the course of 30 years, Joe earned the reputation of an expert builder and perfectionist, which is evident in the quality of homes he produces. Joes oversees all aspects of each new home he builds, from the design to the development to the construction. The excellence of craftsmanship and quality of materials used is his top priority. He is truly an expert in his field and his passion for creating the perfect home for you and your family is his driving force.

Kristen Forrest, Co-Owner

 

When the company first began, Kristen was working as a school teacher in the Wentzville School District and worked at night to earn her real estate license. Having always had a passion for design, she joined forces with Joe to create Forrest Homes. She quickly found her place within the company, adding her design touches to create homes that are functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. Kristen also works with Berkshire Hathaway Homes Services Alliance as a Real Estate Agent and has a vast knowledge of the housing market. Utilizing her understanding of current trends, creativity and knowledge of the products, she will guide you and your family throughout the design process and to your dream home.

What does the building process look like?

Joe and Kristen spend countless hours working with you on the floor plan and design of your home. Keeping family in mind, we create our homes to blend with the everyday function of your life. We are excited to use our expertise to help you design a plan of your own or we can help you customize one of ours. Our innovative designs are created by using our well-rounded expertise to complete all aspects of the home. You also have the option to use our plans within one of our communities, or you can use our plans on your own land. Whatever you choose, we work with you throughout the process to keep your home beautiful and on budget.

Throughout the years, we have taken time to create relationships with all of our qualified subcontractors and express to them the expectations of quality we want for our families. They are considered to be experts in their fields, and we value the work and dedication they share with us. Our dream of building homes is a process that only comes to fruition by the talent and determination our “working family” puts into each of our homes.

​ Once your floor plan is complete, we will work alongside you and our experts to pick out the finishes that will make your home complete. Our designer at Metro Lighting will help you pick out your lighting and work through the design and functionality of your choices. Express Granite carries a variety of options where you can choose the perfect countertops that flow with your ideal design. We have experts to help you with every step and guide you through the process. Our goal is to make this an easy and painless experience throughout each decision you make.
